Arrival & Departure Time for Guests and Organisers

Due to security, it is not possible to open gates for early guests before the agreed arrival time (if your event is before or after Zoo opening hours). Organisers who require early arrival to set up must arrange a suitable time with the Functions Manager.

If entering the Zoo after hours, guests will be designated a time, entry gate and security person to escort the group to the venue. Late guests will have to wait to be escorted through. Please take this into consideration and notify your guests about our strict opening times.

Day-time functions

Due to Zoo opening hours and security, daytime functions in the Fig Tree Function Room and Santos cannot start before 9.30am (unless by prior arrangement).

All daytime functions must conclude by 4.45pm and guests must exit the Zoo by 5.00pm due to Zoo closing time and computerised security (unless prior arrangements are made).

Zoo entry is not included in room hire, however special group rate tickets can be arranged for guests. These tickets must be pre purchased. A full list of names of all attendees for daytime Fig Tree functions must be provided prior to the day.

Hire of the Rotunda & Santos does not include guest entry to the Zoo. Pre-purchased tickets must be arranged (group rates available).

After Hours Functions

For functions being held after 5.00pm it is a requirement that Zoo security guards are present at the cost of the hirer. Prices vary depending on location and size of function. Security is required half hour prior and half hour after the completion of the event.

Add ons

The Zoo offers many additional options to enhance your function experience at the Zoo. We will be happy to organise add-ons for you. Some of these include guided tours, animal encounters and tiger
feeds. Prices vary and subject to availability.

Tentative Bookings

After 14 days any tentative booking will be automatically cancelled, Quality Catering will not take responsibility if booking confirmations or deposits are late and the space has been reallocated.

Confirming Bookings

A confirmation booking form must be completed, terms and conditions read and signed. A deposit of 10% of the estimated cost of the function is payable or $1000 whichever is higher. No booking is secure until confirmation booking forms are completed and returned; Terms and conditions signed and the deposit have been received.


Please be aware that some menu options may not be able to be offered in certain function spaces
